Porst Color Reflex MC Auto 55mm f1.2 lens

Porst Color Reflex MC Auto 55mm f1.2 in Pentax K-mount with a detachable Canon EF-mount adapter ring. Serial number 014286. This lens is in excellent condition. The glass is good front and rear, and the coating is intact. The aperture works smoothly at all clicks from f1.2 to f22, and the aperture blades are clean. Focusing barrel turns smoothly through its entire range. Includes Porst-branded lens cap.

This lens is an extremely fast lens for 35mm. Porst was a German retailer of camera equipment and frequently relabeled products from other manufacturers to fill its significant line of cameras and lenses. This lens was likely manufactured by Cosina or Tomioka, and was the fastest lens that Porst ever sold. Use this lens for an extremely shallow depth of field on full-frame SLRs or mirrorless, or adapt to medium-format mirrorless if you want to be crazy.

A warning – as with other Pentax K-mount lenses, there is a protruding part of the rear barrel as well as a metal aperture lever that extends rearwards from this lens. You may wish to file these down if using on a non-Pentax full-frame camera with a mirror, as they may foul the mirror or else not fit into the camera body.
